Tower of amusement. a botanical amusement park that embedded with the metaphor of a machine that manufacture good health through the incorporation of outdoor activities, nature sceneries, and historical treatment in a high-rise architecture as its components. An advocation of spreading good health and dissolve health issues mentally, spiritually and physically. Its machine aesthetics is a political gesture and a reminder of historical past, to create a more democratic openness in the area. A modern healing temple that creates an escape within the city.
Stacking concept. Adapting MVRDV expo 2000’s concept of organization, a stacking tower of attraction that embedded with nature and outdoor activities. Experimenting the beneficial elements of different attractions, by prioritizing the importance of each activities by how it could benefits circulation within the site, structure integrity, and the demand of natural sunlight and ventilation. A botanical tower that stands out from its existing site creates a sense of surprise within the environment. This approach could uplift my design thinking by identifying the tight and narrow site, where high-rise is the way to design my architecture.
Interlocking of space. In achieving an amusement park experience, the concept of interlocking of space between different activities but at the same it has its own independent of required spatial organization is essential. The experience of each visitors are distinctly important, allowing the users to experience the different activities attach and detach from each other within their journey. A way to encourage users to have their own interpretation and collaboration of how to approach the space, and which junction point they are likely to be dwell into is the purpose of my approaching in designing.
