As taking part in the Home 2020 competition by arch out loud, it allowed me to redefine the various interpretation of Home. Home is the element of stability, security and authority. Beneath this imprison society we call home, where Humanity has advocated a fair and law abiding society, and yet individualism and freedom is supposedly achieved. Could humanity truly be free from this dystopian society? Life is the element of spontaneous nature, its unpredictable future, and its competitiveness among human society emerge across the nature of life. It is perhaps unfair, but its inequality and imperfection among humanity has allowed humankind to experience the spectrum of emotions, which gives the purpose of life. 2020, a disastrous decade has put political, global pandemic, economy, global health, and wildlife on notice. As conflicts drastically emerged through protest, in the act of trade war, and the aggression of violence. The tension of current society is escalating, whereas the pressurizing socio-economic atmosphere has widened the gap between human division. These movements shape the future of humanity and increase the conflicts between individuals. What if the future pressures our society to be constraint into a smaller dimension, where humanity has to live in a close proximity of limited space. Will human extinction erupt to the surface?
Human desire is where the true problem lies, every individual is hoping their desire to be fulfilled. This is the dystopian world us humanity has created in the architecture of life. How could human desire to be fulfilled? How could an architectural system effectuate the blur within the boundary of inequality, but at the same time achieve democratic space and minimizing the dissension in life?
Emanating from sci-fic orientated genre, reimagining a survival framework that speculate the merge between the over-dominance of AI technology, nature and humanity. A laboratory that archives wildlife, nature, manifest city construct and revitalizes human life on virtual reality. Formulating an architectural system that effectuate the blur within the boundary of inequality, but at the same time achieving sustainable yet democratic space and minimizing the dissension in life. Resolving humanity in a closed proximity, future uninhabitable global outbreak, and making a statement of today society.
